About Me

Hello! I'm Luke.

I love coffee, spaghetti, movies, and 80's music.

I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2020 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences. I've always loved computers, but it hasn't always been ones and zeroes for me. My early explorations of creative passions encompassed art, graphic design, and even visual effects and animation. Later I discovered engineering as another creative outlet and quickly fell in love with computer programming. Once I came up to speed with the digital world, I set my sights on becoming competent in electronics.

By the age of 20 I had already gained the privilege of working on the Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover and the NASA-ISRO SAR Mission at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. I spent the remainder of my early career working as a systems engineer on NASA's Europa Clipper Mission. It didn't take long before I realized that I have an insatiable appetite for developing technologies, while inspiring others to reach towards unexplored frontiers.

Skills

Embedded Systems

I love tinkering with microcontrollers by getting closely in-touch with both hardware and software.

Electronics & Controls

Circuits and sensors and algorithms, oh my!

Web Development

Hardware and bare-metal code is nice and all, but I also like making things look nice.

Projects

I take a project-based approach to learning because I love seeing my newly acquired skills and knowledge come alive in a well thought-out personal project. I strive to better understand the world around me, whether that's by building a synthesizer to understand digital audio and PCB design, or designing a quadcopter to learn dynamics and control. The opportunities are limitless!
